THE STORY

How it all began...

theater in den bergen _edited.png

In July 2005, a group of young actors from England met on a remote alpine cabin in Rußbach, Salzburg. Having just graduated from drama schools such as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), they followed the invitation of actor Joe Kloska and producer Philippe Narval to take part in the Traumwand project.
Over the course of one week, the ensemble devised a stage adaptation of Ovid’s Metamorphoses, which they then performed on the mountainside. The intense and inspiring days they spent together in the Austrian Alps left a lasting impression. Now, two decades later, the original ensemble reconvenes for the first time – to tell not only the epic tale of a mythic hero, but of their own shared journey as artists.
